How To Make $20 Million In 5 Minutes

We all need to be able to present, perform, communicate, negotiate in one way or another. I came across this phenomenal video on YouTube that serves as a great example. Perhaps we should call it "How To Make $20 Million in 5 minutes". Watch it. It’s a briliant example of the art of communication and persuasion. Three things come to mind.: Authenticity and Passion, for sure. But also watch how he relates to his listener. You know him as Mr. Rogers.
A little background: The year is 1969. The Corporation for Public Broadcasting was in danger of getting their funding cut in half by president Nixon because of was costs. So who would you have try to convince the senate and speak before notoriusly gruff and impatient Senator John O. Pastore. Who would be the great communicator? The strong "masculine" powerful man with the booming voice who commands your attention? Who in their right mind would think funding for talking about children’s haircuts could compete with funding of a war? In steps Mr. Fred Rogers…

Timeless indeed. Beautiful message. That song lyric really “closed the deal” to use sales lingo. Very touching and fascinating to watch

If you didn’t know, you’d think he was some alien for neverneverland nursery school. Interesting how you can make such an impression by just being so 100% genuine. Great example of a great communicator. Thanks Per
