I too was really positively surprised by Chikezie. I second Kaizuka. I found it very interesting to watch the performances again to learn and see what you mean. Can one train to be able to engage the audience or is it just a personality you’re born with? Thanks for the insightful blog.

I stumbled upon your blog – being an avid American Idol fan, your blog really adds on to it all. You should be one of the judges!
I loved your last blog with ALL the contestants. I went back several times to watch it. And after seeing the elimination – I enjoyed it even more. It turned in to a huge learning experience on top of the entertainment! You have a great eye for what works in performance and what an audience are looking for wether they know it or not/

What the heck?! 2 weeks ago you wrote about Jason Yeager falling “into the trap” and he was booted off, last week you said Luke Menard fell into “the same trap” and he was booted off, and now you wrote David Hernandez fell “into the same trap” and he was booted off? Force, sweat, screaming, scrunched up face rock’n roll??? That’s what makes rock’n roll? David Cook and Amanda are the real rockers here. I don’t see Cook scream like crazy. He’s pretty cool and laid back. I’m not saying I like him, but it seems pretty easy for him. Here’s what I want to know, Per. How do you sing like that and still have a voice the next day?

Yeah Chekezie was fantastic. He set the bar higher for the rest of them. Hard to do better after that. Hopefully he will keep up with the high standards he has set for himself. He’s a new man!

I have a feeling Kristy and David Hernandez will be the ones to leave tonight…

Hey, this is an awesome resource with all the videos. Very interesting to watch them again to study. I see what you mean by Cook’s performance. feel he’s been a lttle boring though. Micheal Johns has been my fav, was a little off maybe last night.
